Inspiration Tuesday (or should I say Thursday?)

Hey everyone!

I'm back with my Inspiration Tuesday (posted on a Thursday, I know, but being excited for a new birthday is something I couldn't explain ^^). This week, meet Bulle2Scrap, which is a french scrapbook store in Montpellier, South of France.

We worked together to come up with this cool kitthat I used to create my mini album. I just LOVED making it! the kit is just amazing filled with many products! Not many embellishments in this kit but full of stickers, die-cuts and tags, perfect for the kind of albums I wanted to do.

I used the kraft enveloppe for my cover as it would give a cool effect with Maya Mists and such.

You'll find the kit to purchase HERE @ Bulle2SCrap.

So here is what you'll need to create this album.

#1. To get started, cut 3 pieces of cardstock size 10x24cms (or 4x9in) in each Bazzill cardstock. Glue your photos after you used a round corner punch. Then use a crop-a-dile to make holes for the binding into your enveloppe.

#2. My cover (the enveloppe) was covered with star punches that I did into left over cardstock. I simply put them all over my cover and sprayed Maya Mists (gold and blue) to create this cool and bright effects on the kraft paper.

Some paper cut-outs, stickers, stamps and the cover is ready.

#3. My first double page only has a photo on the right page. My title for the photo is on the left page. This all allows the eyes to travel from the left page to the right page, i.e. the photo.

I try to keep the same color combo in order to have some kind of a harmony here.

#4. I did the same thing on this next double page. I like to create the kind of design for my mini album as it brings the look of your eyes to look for the photo, which is the most important thing in your scrapbook.

Of course, I used every single stars that I punched to use as a mask for my cover and glued them here and there in my album : they are just like handmade embellishments^^

#5. I wanted to keep this left page as it is, with its kraft color. It is somewhat the same color that you can find on my photo (which is the Wailing wall or Western Wall, in Jerusalem). I used some new star punches with Golden Maya Mist then cut into papers and used stickers.

(I kinda screwed my Kesiart stamp here on my photo but whatever...I can pretend I did it on purpose!^^)

#6. A photo on each page. Nothing really in common for these two pages, except the alpha. A real simple design for the two pages.Try to gather elements and do some clustering.

I was inspired by the color of my photo that's why I tried to use similar colors with papers and embellishments.

#7. Try to find a harmony between colors. Something that will not catch your eyes won't work. If you don't REALLY like a color combo, simply don't use it. Here I used a 4 color palette : sand, blue, red, pink.

Don't be scared to spray Maya Mists on top of your photo, it'll bring an extra bright touch to them ^^

#8. I chose to repeat the almost same photo here, of the same monment, to get a harmoney between the two pages and because I simply love this monument, which is the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem.

#9. And for my back cover, I simply used the same technique as for my front cover : some stars that I punched and voilà!^^

I hope you liked this mini album and will be inspired! I'm so sorry about being so late in posting this but I guess you won't be mad at me ^^

Check back later today for the Bulle2Scrap giveaway and a chance to win this kit! ^^
