WHAT NOT TO FORGET WHEN PACKING FOR VACATION

The weather is rather depressing in February. Unless you’re sunning yourself on the Gold Coast, February is a dreary month with drizzle and wind for days. It’s in these cold and dark days that you wish you were on vacation. Being away from it all and enjoying a little Vitamin D and warmth? That’s exactly what you need!

All you have to do is get yourself a flight to a far-flung destination, find a hotel and chuck some bikinis in your case! Right? No.

Instead, you need to pack properly, and that means that you need to start packing early and pay attention to what you actually need to bring with you. A vacation requires much more than just your passport and your bikini. What if you eat some undesirable food and end up so bunged up the cramps are unbearable? What if you did that and forgot to pack your Coloxyl with senna? You’d be in a foreign place in pain and without anything to relieve the constipation. You need to be smart when you pack for your break. Bikinis will not save you from a constipation emergency. So, what else should you remember to pack?

1.     Don't forget to bring your passport, but more than that you shouldn't forget to check that it’s valid for six months after your trip. You want to make sure that you don’t get turned away from the airport after paying all the money out for the trip!

2.     If you are going to paradise in the distant corners of the world, you need cash in the right currency. There are plenty of good travel currency card options, you just have to research the best one for you. Always carry a certain number of cash with you anyway, as you may need it when you land.

3.     Believe it or not, you should always pack an umbrella into your hand luggage. What if you land into a monsoon? You really do need to consider what you’ll need to hand.

4.     Whether prescription or not, you need to bring your sunglasses with you. The UV rays at your destination of choice are going to be damaging to your eyes and sunglasses with a good UVA will help!

5.     You need to bring a bag of toiletries with you. You may choose to bring some with you, of course, but bring your favorites. You cannot always guarantee that you’re going to find exactly what you want when you land. Resort shops are often not the same as the ones at home!

6.     If you need to bring any medicines make sure that you have enough for your stay. Remember we mentioned issues with constipation earlier? You may find the opposite is also true, so bring good diarrhea pills, too.

7.     If you are going somewhere that has different outlets to you, then make sure that you bring replacement chargers as well as plug that fits your chargers for your phone! You don't want to get there only to find you can’t charge up!
